Most non profits have a demanding schedule and most of them deal with charity. This has to do with raising funds, creating community awareness and meeting the needs of the community. In order to get hired, your non profit resume should illustrate the fact that you are capable of carrying out these services. This means portraying skills such as good communication skills and report writing ability. You should also have a knack for to work independently within the given budget. Most non profits keep an eye on staying in the black with their budget figures.

Show your innovative ability. Most non profits have limited resources that they want to maximize on. They would therefore like to know that you can utilize these resources properly for maximum benefits.

If you have any special skills, include them. This is because non profits are looking to hire individuals who can multi task. For instance carry out marketing and accounting.

You resume should show any past experience that you have. Give examples of how you have delivered and produced results in the past.  However, this does not mean that you include every activity that you have ever done, rather any experiences that you have had that are relevant to the post you are applying for. Leave out the small stuff.

Know who your target audience is and custom-make your resume specifically for organization you are applying to and the specific job you are targeting. Avoid writing a generic resume that could be applied in any number of situations.
