Objective part of a resume comes after the address details of the applicant like contact number, email address etc. It is basically a statement concerning the career plan of the candidate. It is well thought out and relates to the needs of the company. It consists of a single paragraph with four to five sentences in most cases.

The objective part of the resume is the part charged with introducing the applicant to the employer. Here, the applicant is able to assert him/herself in a bid to convince the prospective employer that he or she is the best candidate for the advertised position. It is for this reason that you as a candidate would be well advised to present a well stated and impeccable resume objective. The applicant outlines his qualifications, strengths and abilities and compares them Vis a Vis the requirements of the advertised job.

Hospitality resumes have the same basic objectives just like other resumes. Resume objective should have the principle goal of getting a favorable response from the prospective employer. You as the applicant should ensure that your objective is gripping enough to encourage further reading of your resume.

Another important tip is to ensure that you word your objective according to whether you are changing careers or advancing in the same career. Should you have limited work experience it is prudent to divert your prospective employer’s attention to your intended destination rather than where you have been. Make sure that you avoid the use of ‘I’ word and emphasize your team playing capabilities. Ensure also that the very first sentence expressly transmits the idea that you are the best candidate for the job.
