A fashion resume outlines objectives of an applicant willing to work in the fashion industry. This resume details the applicant’s professional experience and education background. Fashion industry offers wide range of careers to choose from.

    1. Carry out research on employer’s requirement and organization of his/ her company including the hierarchical structure of the company. This helps you to know whether you are applying for an executive position and qualities that are required. Research also helps you know information that you include in your resume.
    2. Determine your objectives in applying for the career you have chosen. Specify the job you are applying for since fashion industry offers many career options such as fashion designer, retail assistant and others. Explain why you wish to work in that post and how your background makes you the best candidate for the job.
    3. Demonstrate your professional experience by writing positions you have held previously and dates. Outline details such as leadership positions held in your previous stations of work. Indicate details of your membership in professional associations, and your experiences as an intern and volunteer. Also include languages you are fluent at.
    4. List your educational qualifications that are related to the job requirements. Include details of your academic achievements such as awards, honors, seminars and workshops attended.
    5. Write few hobbies say maximum of three that are likely to boost your chances of securing the job.
    6. Finally provide list of three referees who are professionals you have worked with or qualified teachers or lecturers who know you well. Also indicate their present contacts. It is advisable that you inform your referees that you will have them as your referees when applying for a job.
    7. Proofread your resume and correct any grammatical errors. Make sure to include all details mentioned above.
