in Internet Resumes

Thanks to advancement in internet technology, recruiters can easily search for resumes on the internet whenever they are seeking qualified candidates to fill certain positions. There are numerous web sites that maintain a database of resumes such that recruiters can locate them in just a few seconds. The advantage is that recruiters can browse through the specific job categories that they require to fill up. Still, recruiters can just type in a specific job title in the search engine.

For instance, a recruiter looking to fill up the position of engineer could type in engineer or draftsman in the resume search engine and this will bring resume results for engineer and draftsman. The recruiter can then choose a resume that best suits the requirement of the vacant position. Recruiters should also search for alternate forms of key words in order to get more results.

On the other hand, job seekers who have uploaded their resumes on the internet must make use of key words relevant to the jobs they are looking for. This will increase their chances of securing interviews since recruiters can easily locate their resumes. Furthermore, it is advisable for job seekers to have an electronic version of their resume so as to catch the eyes of employers who recruit via the internet.
